A response to the current crisis

The thoughts and prayers of us all at Hope Church are with our community at this difficult time, and in particular those who are older or who live on their own or who have health conditions and other circumstances that make them more vulnerable. We are also extremely thankful for all those hardworking and dedicated people who are serving others within hospitals, doctors’ surgeries, care homes, the emergency services, schools, supermarkets and the food supply chain, or who carry out other essential work in our society.

If we can be of spiritual or other support, we are here and would like to listen and help in any way we can. We cannot promise to meet every circumstance but if we are aware of a need we will do all that we are able. Above all, we believe that God is able to help in ways that are above our own means. He is full of love and power and answers prayer. He has not forgotten us! And, perhaps, if this crisis helps us to see anything in a new way it will be that some things are outside our control and there is a God to whom we can turn.
